Acceptance Use of the app Accounts Subscriptions Content and sources Widgets and reminders No professional advice Intellectual property Third-party services Availability Disclaimers Changes and contact

These terms set the ground rules for using Ananta: Hindu Widgets. They are written to be read: use the app respectfully, manage subscriptions through Apple, and treat its spiritual content as a source of reflection rather than professional advice.

01

Acceptance and eligibility

By downloading, accessing, or using Ananta: Hindu Widgets (“Ananta,” “the app,” “we,” or “us”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be legally able to agree to these terms in your country. If you use the app on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for them.

02

Use of the app

Ananta is provided for personal reflection, quote discovery, reminders, Gita practice, Sacred Calendar information, wallpapers, and widget customisation. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms.

You may not:

  • Misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or attempt unauthorised access.
  • Reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
  • Use the app to violate law, infringe rights, mislead others, or harm a service or person.
  • Remove ownership, attribution, source, or rights notices included with app content.
  • Use automated means to extract or reproduce substantial parts of the app or content library.
03

Guest use and accounts

You can use the app as a guest without creating an account. If you choose to sign in, you are responsible for maintaining access to your sign-in provider and for activity associated with your account on your device.

We may suspend, restrict, or close access where reasonably needed to address abuse, fraud, security, legal requirements, or serious technical risk. You may delete an eligible signed-in account through the app’s account deletion flow.

04

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

Ananta may offer weekly, annual, lifetime, promotional, or introductory purchase options. The exact product, price, currency, trial period, and billing interval are shown on the App Store purchase screen before you confirm.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

If a free trial is offered, unused trial time may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription where Apple’s rules provide. Refunds and billing disputes are handled by Apple under App Store policies. Purchase restoration is available through the app where supported.

Premium features depend on the entitlement reported by Apple and RevenueCat. If access expires or cannot be verified, premium app and widget features may be limited until an active purchase is restored.

05

Spiritual content, translations, and sources

Ananta includes original affirmations, clearly identified paraphrases, sourced passages, educational notes, and original renderings informed by public-domain Sanskrit source text. Paraphrases are not presented as verbatim historical quotations. Where available, the app preserves source work, verse locator, and related notes.

Hindu traditions are diverse. App explanations are intended to be respectful and accessible, but they are not the only interpretation of a text, practice, calendar rule, teacher, or tradition. Translations and calendar data can vary by lineage, region, convention, provider, and scholarly judgement.

06

Widgets, reminders, and Sacred Calendar

Widget refresh timing, notification delivery, background updates, fonts, images, and system layouts depend partly on iOS. A requested refresh or reminder may be delayed, changed, or prevented by system settings, battery conditions, network availability, or platform limits.

Sacred Calendar and Panchanga results are informational estimates produced from the place, time zone, date, convention, and provider data available to the app. Observances and timings may differ across regions and traditions. Confirm important religious dates or ritual timings with the tradition, temple, teacher, or local authority you follow.

07

No professional advice or guaranteed outcome

The app is for informational, educational, devotional, and reflective purposes. It is not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and it does not replace qualified care or emergency services.

Reflections, reminders, streaks, challenges, practices, and spiritual content do not promise a particular personal, health, financial, religious, or life outcome. Use your own judgement and seek appropriate professional or spiritual guidance.

08

Intellectual property and feedback

The app’s software, visual design, branding, original writing, original translations or renderings, and compilation of content are owned by or licensed to the operator and protected by applicable law. Third-party works, names, images, source materials, and platform marks remain the property of their respective owners.

If you voluntarily send feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve Ananta without restriction or payment, while you retain ownership of any rights you already hold in the material you submit.

09

Third-party services and links

Ananta may rely on Apple, Firebase, Prokerala, RevenueCat, analytics or attribution providers, and other services described in the Privacy Policy. Their services and external links are governed by their own terms and policies. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party availability, content, or practices.

Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s applicable App Store terms, including the Apple Standard EULA where it applies.

10

Availability, changes, and termination

We may add, modify, suspend, or remove features and content over time. The app may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, provider outages, platform issues, legal requirements, or circumstances outside our control.

You may stop using the app at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability—continue to apply after use ends.

11

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity arising from or related to your use of Ananta. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

12

Changes, applicable law, and contact

We may update these terms as Ananta changes. The effective date above will be revised when new terms take effect. Continued use after an update means the updated terms apply going forward, subject to any additional consent required by law.

These terms are governed by applicable laws of India, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
